Known worldwide as ‘Queen Bea’ from the iconic Australian television series Prisoner, Val Lehman is back treading the boards.
Val stars in Steaming, the funny, award winning comedy by English playwright Nell Dunn.
Produced by Queensland based Jally Productions, the play is set to tour Australia on a 10 week, 28 venue tour.
The play centres around six women from diverse backgrounds who meet regularly at a turkish bath house in London. When the ladies hear their beloved refuge is about to close down, they unite to try and save it.
It’s a funny, sad, fascinating and thoroughly entertaining foray into the lives and loves of these women, who discover friendship as they shed their inhibitions.
While the producers warn of adult themes and nudity within this production, theatre-goers should not be deterred from seeing what is a fabulous play in its own right, starring one of the countries’s most well known television actors’.
