CD LAUNCH
“...it's gonna get awkward ...really, really awkward!”
Supported by teen comedy duo sensation Pargin and Wilkie (Class Clowns, Australian Idol)
Come celebrate the launch of Zack's new comedy CD ZACK ADAMS: Love Songs For Future Girl before he heads all the way to New York to perform his show AWKWARD in The New York International Fringe Festival!
ZACK ADAMS is one of only 12 International acts (and one of only 4 Australian acts) selected to perform as part of the 2009 New York Fringe Festival, taking place in August 2009.
Songs of Outrageous Lies, Love, Family Faux Pas, Robots, Apricots, drawing on girls with a texta and all things AWKWARD. Perth’s Indie-Rock funnyman Zack Adams brings you a “Devastatingly funny” show you won’t want to miss! The show also coincides with the release of his debut CD ZACK ADAMS – Love Songs For Future Girl, recorded in Perth with Michael de Grussa (Eskimo Joe, The de Grussa Band).
Completely revamping his 2008 Melbourne Comedy Festival show, Zack is taking his strange brand comedy/indie rock to the next level as he performs his latest comedy offering at Lazy Susans. This is Zack like you’ve never seen him before: Brand new songs, new guitar, new stories, new awkwardness and, new…er…hat.
Zack Adams performs strange, musical comedy, has done four Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, several Adelaide Fringe Festivals, won the coveted 'Best Comedy Song' award at the 2007 Laugh Resort Comedy Awards and most recently returned from his highly successful national Slightly Awkward Tour. He has performed at Laughapoolooza, Comedy Of The Main (Montreal, Canada), Melbourne Comedy Festival Club and performed alongside artists such as The Bedroom Philospher (JJJ), Scott Edgar (Tripod), Josh Earl, Sammy J, Greg Fleet, Lawrence Leung (ABC’s Choose Your Own Adventure), Tom Gleeson, David O’Doherty, Corrine Grant, Jeff Green, Fiona O’Lauchlan, Charlie Pickering, Kristen Schaal (Flight of The Conchords), Bob Franklin and Geraldine Quinn.

After getting a divorce from C.K. Dexter Haven, Tracy Lord prepares to marry again… however, in the days before her wedding, Haven and a reporter, posing as her brother’s friend, show up at her doorstep. From there, Tracy is forced to choose among her past love, her present love and her new love. Amidst the situation comedy, and fast-paced dialogue, Barry explores several contemporary social issues, such as society’s perception of class differences in America and attitudes towards adultery and divorce in the 1930’s.
