Old Mill Theatre second season for 2010 is the story of six women convicts sentenced to be transported to Australia in 1807, most of them for very petty crimes- as was the habit in 'those days'

This is the story of their survival on the six month journey and survive they do with wit, cunning and sheer determination in the face of indifference, brutality and the appalling conditions deemed appropriate for criminals in the 19th century.

Although classified as a drama there is plenty of earthy humour as the "girls" do all they can to make life bearable below decks.

There is a fair amount of "coarse language" in this show. At that time many of the words that we now regard as coarse or swearing were in everyday use among the  population and so they are an integral part of the play and not designed to offend any person.

Featuring: Kyla Jones, Melissa Kilveri, Kirstie Francis,Kate O'Sullivan, Jocelyn O'Neil, Ariel Simone as the 'girls' with Damien Nott, Adam Dear, Phil Barnett and Tim Prosser.

Sunday May 2nd is a Matinee performance at 2 pm.
