A fascinating musical account of the marauding street gangs of Sydney in  the early 1900's

Jonah is a hunchbacked outcast, whose life is lived on the streets as leader of a larrikin gang and who eventually rises to success in the cut-throat world of big business.

It is also the story of a place - Sydney in the early 1900's - in all its crumbling glory and its jostling cast of characters. And a captivating love story.
