You are all cordially invited to Storm the Stage with WA 'stormers' as they perform for selection into the National Final of Storm the Stage 2010.

To enjoy a unique experience of solo performances by youth 16 to 19 years in drama and musical theatre as they perform with courage, passion and feeling in the intimate surrounds of the main auditorium of the Subiaco Arts Centre.

So prepare yourself for a kaleidoscope of solo performances as they portray characters that will take your emotions on a journey of joy, sadness, anger, despair, laughter, courage, bewilderment, inspiration,confrontation and much more. It is what makes Storm the Stage a special event.

Come along and cheer for your stormer and all stormers.

The 24 Stormers performing in the WA State Finals are:

DRAMA: Michelle Berg, Shiloh Blondel, Mahalia Bowles, Siobhan Crabb, Skyler Ellis, Lana Glasson, Michael Griffin, Jonathan Holborn, David Lazarus, Stephanie Locke, Caolan Maxwell, Ariel Simone.

MUSICAL THEATRE: Annie Aitken, Amberley Cull, Jacob Dibb, Eimear Foley, Courtney Hough, Adam Lebransky, Shoreina Pereira, Kristen Plati, Cassie Skinner, Chris Wilcox, Lisa Woodbrook, Brittany Young.

Storm the Stage is a national Rotary project backed by IFAC (International Foundation for Arts and Culture) and is supported by Hugh Jackman and Jill Perryman as patron, both Western Australian international actors.

Now in its sixth year, Storm the Stage entrants will gain valuable practical experience as they are led through the heats and semi-finals, and most importantly will make lasting friendships with their peers.

Twenty candidates will achieve selection to the finals where they will perform at the University of WA’s intimate Octagon Theatre on December 2. Prizes of up to $10,000 will be awarded including workshops on performance and the theatre industry. Finalists will be accommodated in Perth at a tertiary college.

With an emphasis on solo performances and a ‘back to theatre’ approach young people will receive guidance and feedback from professionals in theatre within a nurturing environment, including workshops conducted
by Black Swan Theatre for the national finalists.

The WA State Final of the 2010 Storm The Stage is going to be a sell out !  There are very limited tickets left for the state final where our stormers will perform their theatre or musical theatre solo pieces for you whilst competing for a place in the national final.
