The Big Hoo Haa!! | |
Friday 22nd October at 8pm If theatre and stand up comedy met one night in a smoky bar and after a few drinks found themselves in a compromising position in the back of a clapped out ’67 Volks Wagon, the result of this sordid tryst would be The Big HOO-HAA!
The Big HOO-HAA! Is a night of comedy that will help you forget your troubles and have you laughing out loud from start to finish. In the style of “Who’s line is it anyway” and “Comedy Sportz” The Big HOO-HAA! sees two teams of fearless comedians take the stage to do battle in a competition of wit, humour and bad mime skills in an effort to win the coveted Horse’s Arse Trophy. It’s a no holds barred race to the punch line. This is an interactive show that uses the audience suggestions to create improvised comedy sketches. The show is completely improvised therefore every performance is wonderfully unique and created just for you!
Cut Snake Comedy launched the improvised comedy show “The Big HOO-HAA!” in June 2002 and in the eight years the show has been running it has gained a huge following. The Big HOO-HAA! crew have performed to thousands of people in Western Australia; as well as their weekly shows at lazy Susan’s Comedy Den they have performed for numerous corporate events, Subiaco’s Wild West Comedy Festival, FunnyBrook Comedy Festival, ArtRage Festival and five sold out Birthday shows. The HOO-HAA Crew includes some of Perth’s best Stand Up Comedians and actors working in Radio, Television and Theatre in Perth.

Do you love Sesame Street? Ever wanted to stick your hand up a puppet? Ever wanted to learn the lessons of life from lovable furry characters? Want to know how a monster does “it”? You’re in luck…
The Broadway musical Avenue Q comes to the Roleystone Theatre stage in November, and we are proud to announce auditions will take place on the weekend of 09-10th June 2012.
We are looking to cast 12-17 actors in three human roles and the numerous puppet roles in this unique and exciting project. No prior experience working with puppets is necessary, but a high tolerance for fur is probably helpful!
Auditionees should prepare one character song, preferably in an American accent, for the first round of the audition. You will also be asked to learn a short set piece which will be provided when you book your audition, and will need to be delivered in an appropriate “puppet” voice. Auditionees for some roles have additional requirements. Auditionees must be 18yrs+
Further details of requirements and audition session times are included below. To book your auditions, please email the Director (Lorna Mackie) via lorna@htth.com.au or phone 0413031509 (email preferred).
We look forward to seeing you at the auditions!
