Based on John Updike’s acclaimed novel

Brad Tudor

The Witches of Eastwick is a gothic comedy about a small town rocked by a mysterious newcomer with devilish charm.

Based on John Updike’s acclaimed novel and the hugely successful 1987 film starring Jack Nicholson, Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer and Susan Sarandon, the musical is in turns cheeky, romantic, hilarious and sexy.

The story follows the exploits of the three women, the witches Alexandra Spofford (Gillian Binks), Jane Smart (Janine Bramall), and Sukie Rougemont (Sinead O'callaghan), who acquired supernatural powers after leaving or being left by their husbands. However, when they wish for the perfect man, the arrival of the charming Darryl Van Horne (Peter 'Pear' Carr) throws their world into convulsions. The mysterious Darryl seduces each of the women, encouraging them to expand their powers and creating a scandal in the town.

But when things start to get out of control, the witches decide to take matters into their own hands.
