Amadeus combines fiction and history to explore the lives and rivalry of composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri.

Although the story is fiction it is based on the known rivalry between the two composers, and is an intelligent poweful play about characters everyone has at least  heard of, if not known through their music.
