Synopsis:
Undergraduates Charley Wyckham and Jack Chesney pressure fellow student Fancourt Babberly to pose as Charley's Brazilian Aunt Donna Lucia. Their purpose is to have a chaperone for their amorous lunch with Amy and Kitty, niece and ward of crusty Stephen Spettigue.
Complications begin when Fancourt, in drag, becomes the love subject of old Spettigue and Sir Frances Chesney, Jack's father. The real Donna Lucia arrives under an assumed name with Ela, the lost love of Babberley, who cannot pursue her as he is disguised as Charley's Aunt. However, as in all theatrical love matches, after much rushing around and contrived situations, all's well that ends well.
