Fresh from his acclaimed role in Amadeus, Eliot McCann is directing Yasmina Reza's highly perceptive comedy of a disatrous dinner party.
Henri & Sonia are putting their son to bed and preparing for a quiet evening at home when the door bell rings. Hubert & Ines have arrived a day early for a dinner party!
Over an improvised meal of potato chips, chocolate biscuits and much wine the the evening degenerates and there is a hilarious and poignant examinaton of personal intimacies and private longings. This elegantly written play blends cruel observation with high comedy.
There are three versions of the same hapless evening in which the characters change subtly each time, with a dramatically different outcome for each.
Cast: Adrian Wood, Lisa Skrypichako, Eddie Stowers and Jennifer O'Meara.
