When Ferris reluctantly agreed to look after his sister’s seedy country inn during her holiday, he did not foresee the wild comings and goings that were to burst upon him on a single spring evening. Ferris is engulfed in lies, confusion and bewilderment as he tries to capitalize on preventing the inevitable meetings of husbands, wives and lovers in assorted compromising situations

Adapted from Mary Shelley’s original by Brenna Lee-Cooney, with original music by Eugene Gilfedder and dynamic choreography by Brian Lucas, this TOTAL THEATRE experience promises to be the gothic highlight of Brisbane Theatre for 2013!

Peter describes 'A Country Retreat" as a comedy-drama with a few current social issues thrown in for good measure. Is it possible to “get away from it all”? Maybe…… maybe not. The play is set in a rural area of the South West WA and presents real characters in believable situations. A play for our time.
