Hello! I just have some questions about auditioning for the Music Theatre streams at these institutions (NIDA,WAAPA,VCA). If anyone has been through the audition process/been accepted in your comments would be greatly appreciated. I am 18 years old turning 19 this year and I aim to audition for 2014 or 2015 depending on when I feel ready.

The Society is presenting I'VE GOT A LITTLE LIST at the Octagon Theatre (UWA Campus) May 20th-26th 2013. The show is the story of the formation of the team which founded the Savoy Operas - namely W.S Gilbert & Arthurs Sullivan and Richard D'oyly Carte. It traces the collaboration with anecdotes and numbers from each of the operettas. We are fortunate to have the creators of the show as Musical Director and Stage Director - Andrew Foote (WA Opera) and his wife Donna.
I will be leaving my home country (South Africa) for my alter-ego to do "real" work in Perth for 8 months. I am very sad to leave my music teacher and my choir behind and can't bear the thought of not singing for 24 hours.

Review: Macbeth & Julius Caesar (Upstart Theatre Company)

I loved the simplicity and minimalism of these productions. Without elaborate sets and costumes, the focus is essentially on the text, the plot, the characters, the performance. And what a great space to put on shows like this.
