Eight young people in vivid red tracksuits march onto and off-white square of carpet and sharply draw in breath as they eyeball the audience. The WA Theatre Company’s first production in an Earth, Wind and Fire trilogy announced its intentions with humour mixed with wry self-referential directness.

Silver Lining seeks theatre operatives across the board for the production of dramatic comedy.

The Western Australian Youth Theatre Company commissioned director Jeffrey Jay Fowler to cast the most talented performers under 27 he could find and then work with them intensively to create a play based on a single word - EARTH - which had to be the title of the show.
