Do you need to prepare a Monologue for a Uni Course, an Agent, or just for fun?
I am running a monologue preparation workshop.
It will be an intense 8 hour day of monologue prep – including text analysis, characterization, wants / actions, emotional truth. It will be very active.

The audition heats for The Brisbane Musical Theatre Competition are open to a public audience. Over 100 entrants are competing from across Queensland. Come and see musical theatre live on stage at the Kedron-Wavell Services Club, Community Centre from 3pm.

Hey people just wondering what all your views and stories etc are about males with a higher chance of getting in in teh case of lower auditions by their part. Anyone know any info about how much chance you have being whatever gender, and cahnces etc for the music theatre courses (BA and cert 2)

I am sitting here attempting to write simultaneously, a book, a script and a production plan for a childrens literacy project. I have inspiration seeds from bunch of drawings and really short adventures done by a group of primary school kids but I have to create a unified story that will reach an audiemce ranging from pre school to year seven.

A study into children's literacy by Professor Wendy Schiller from the University of South Australia has shown that live theatre has a noticable and beneficial effect on literary performance. Additionaly, the tolerance levels and general expressions of empathy were significantly higher as a result of these shows.
