‘Falsettos the musical’ is the Tony Award winning musical based on the book by James Lapine and William Finn, with music and lyrics by William Finn. The show ran for 500 performances on Broadway in 1992. This great two and a half hour show is being presented at the Old Mill Theatre, Corner of Mends Street and Mill Point Road, South Perth. Nightly at 8.00 pm until Saturday 18^th February.

Production dates for the Perth show will be the 2nd to the 8th of February 2012 and production dates for the Adelaide fringe will be the 9th to the 19th of March 2012. Please don’t audition if you are not free for both productions. Rehearsals will begin in December 2011. Checkout will be a co-op production. You will need to fund your own Flights and accommodation for the Adelaide Fringe tour. Checkout the Musical has had many successful seasons throughout Perth.

‘Blood Brothers – The Musical’ is based loosely on the 1844 novella ‘The Corsican Brothers’. It was turned into a play in 1981 by Willy Russell, and then developed into the Tony and Olivier Award winning musical three years later. The ‘Blood Brothers’ musical became the longest running West End musical. The first Australian production wasn’t until 1988 and starred Russell Crowe and Chrissy Amphlet in the leading roles. It has now been revamped and is being presented by the Metcalfe Theatre in the Empyrean Function Centre, 12 Lake Street, Northbridge until 4^th December. The150-minute performances have curtain up at 7.30 pm, with matinees on Thursdays at 11.00 am, Saturdays at 2.00 pm and Sundays at 3.00 pm.

Roger Parsley is a UK based Playwright and adaptor.

His many classic adaptations include “Brideshead Revisited” and “Sense And Sensibility”, and these, together with two of his musical plays – “All For Your Delight” and “The End Of The Pier Show” – are published by Samuel French Ltd.
For Starshine Music he has written the very popular schools musical nativity “Jesus’ Christmas Party” and two versions (one for schools, and one full-length) of an original musical, based on pantomime characters, called “Panto Pandemonium“.
