This one woman play, with songs is about Maggie, a middle-aged woman who is returning to her childhood home to "go through" her recently deceased widowed-mother's estate. Edna lived there for half a century. Longer. The house is full of "things". Maggie's memories flood back. There are long forgotten photos, toys, newspapers and knick-knacks. Edna was a hoarder. Who gets what? What do you keep? What will Maggie discover?

I cast a fine young man in 'It's My Party (And I'll Die If I Want To) a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately he has just been in a car accident and is out of action for at least a month.

We are obviously very shocked and saddened by his injuries. But the show must go on.

Expressions of Interest. Audition date to be advised. Richmond Players is a community based amateur theatre company in the far north western suburbs of Sydney. The company is planning to produce Our Country's Good with performances in August, 2010 and rehearsals starting in late May. The play has up to seventeen male roles and five female roles. This is part of the Macquarie Bicentenary celebrations.
Our Country’s Good is the story of convicts and Royal Marines of the First Fleet of 1788. It follows Second Lieutenant, Ralph Clark's attempts to put on a production of The Recruiting Officer with a cast of male and female convicts. The play shows the class system in the convict camp and discusses themes such as sexuality, punishment, the Georgian judicial system, and the idea that it is possible for ‘theatre to be a humanising force'.

Advanced Screen and Sound Production students from Murdoch University, Perth are currently casting for a short film currently entitled ‘Tricks’.

The film centres on a group of young people who are on a camping trip. The protagonist, Haylee, is attempting to reconnect with old friends while the influence of another friend is holding her back. She must make a choice about who she is and who she is with.
