It is almost Christmas in the Magic Castle, and everyone is looking forward to a royal wedding. Everyone except Prince Robert. He is bound by tradition to marry a princess on Christmas day before his 18th birthday, otherwise he cannot ever become king. But he has not yet found a princess he wants to marry! Just as he thinks things can't get any worse, the kingdom is threatened by the wicked Lucrezia and her Evil Wizard. As the Prince and King Wolfgang fight for their kingdom, little do they know that the future queen has been living amongst them the whole time.

AUDITIONS will be held at Koorliny Arts Centre on January 14 at 9am for the upcoming production of Seussical.
The story is an amalgamation of many of Dr Seuss’s famous books, creating a fantastical, musical extravaganza.
The story centres around Horton, who finds himself faced with a double challenge - not only must he protect his tiny friend Jojo (and all the invisible Whos) from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.
Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.
A story that will make audiences laugh and cry, it focuses on themes of friendship, loyalty, family and community, making this an ideal musical production for the April school holidays.
All main roles are up for grabs, with chorus roles also available.
Actors must be over 12 years, with singing and dancing skills preferred, but everyone with an interest in performing is encouraged to audition.

‘The Arrival’ has been adapted by Michael Barlow, from Shaun Tan’s Academy Award winning story.
In 2006 ‘The Arrival’ won the West Australian Actors’ Equity Guild’s highly coveted ‘Best Production’ award.
After national and international tours, including major puppetry festivals in the USA and France, the Australian Champion of Puppetry has returned home to Fremantle as part of the International Sailing Championship. This flagship production is the perfect culmination to the company’s 30^th anniversary of the Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.
This 3^rd Annual Summer Season covers the school holidays, and runs until the 28^th January - with a two-week break over Christmas and New Year. This action packed 50-minute spectacular is presented at the Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, directly opposite Freo Train Station. Performances are at 10.00am and 1.00pm daily with evening shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 6.30 pm.

‘The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik; Deep Sea Explorer,’ a universally acclaimed masterpiece, created by Perth’s Tim Watts, in collaboration with Arielle Gray. It is now two and a half years since its world premiere at The Blue Room, where it won Best Production of the year. It has since been to the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival winning best solo show. After the Dublin Fringe Festival, followed by seasons in South Korea, India, Adelaide and New Zealand, the show returns to Perth after just finishing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show has gathered an award at almost every world venue.

This endearing presentation is by the Perth Theatre Company and Weeping Spoon Productions. It is playing at Studio Underground, in the State Theatre Centre of WA, corner of Roe and William Streets, Northbridge nightly at 8.00 pm until the Saturday, 3^rdDecember. There are matinees on Saturday at 4.00 pm.

Roger Parsley is a UK based Playwright and adaptor.

His many classic adaptations include “Brideshead Revisited” and “Sense And Sensibility”, and these, together with two of his musical plays – “All For Your Delight” and “The End Of The Pier Show” – are published by Samuel French Ltd.
For Starshine Music he has written the very popular schools musical nativity “Jesus’ Christmas Party” and two versions (one for schools, and one full-length) of an original musical, based on pantomime characters, called “Panto Pandemonium“.

The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood testify while a jury of wondrous and magical characters attempt to sort out fact from fiction. The Usher tries to keep order in this chaotic world, The Lawyer fights for his strange clients and The Judge is easily distracted.
