Female actress required for a short film (20-35 yo) - Adelaide

A low/no budget short film with a still undecided title. The film would be directed by a french director and we intend to shoot it with a professional crew.

Auditions will be held on 25th February (Saturday). Time and location will be confirmed for individual applicants.

A chirpy, good-natured, happy-go-lucky girl who works at a check-out counter of a supermarket.

If we wanted to cast a male-actress I guess we would have explicitly stated that in the casting call. So in short, No male-actresses are not invited to submit for casting.

Virus: I thinking he was pointing out your tautology - all actresses are female, so using the word female in front of the word is redundant.

I know what other poster was referring to, however, in this day in age, in my opinion, everything has to be stated "explicitly", just to make sure that we should not find ourselves in an awkward situation when the auditionee turns up at auditions! It may sound all too "unrealistic-situation" but this is an interesting world and things do happen.

Assuming that your explanation is the truth, and not just an attempt to cover up an embarrassing mistake, you are not actually doing yourself any favours by, effectively, stating that you're making allowances for the stupidity of the people you're trying to attract!

I hope you find your actress, anyway...a female one, of course.
