2010 Play Submissions

Have you ever wanted to direct? Have you directed a one-act play at the Garrick and want to try your hand at a full-length production? Even if you have directorial experience with other theatres!

Garrick Theatre is calling for submissions for full length plays for next year’s (2010) season.

Please submit 2 copies of your script (at least 1 hard copy) to a committee member along with brief synopsis and preferred seasons. Your preferences can be stated as simply as first half, mid-year or any variation thereof.

The committee prefers you submit 2 or more plays of different genres to enable Garrick to put together a well balanced 2009 program. (Committee contact details are on the inside cover of this newsletter).

A Director’s meeting will be held at a later date to discuss the final line-up.

The closing date for submissions is the 26th of June so get your submissions in now.

Just a quick reminder - there is but a week left for directorial expressions-of-interest for Garrick's 2010 season.

The Theatre on Chester (Sydney) presents
The Servant of Two Masters

Written by Carlos Goldini. Re-Written by Nick Enright and Ron Blair.

Carla Moore

Goldoni is made grouse in this colourful and riotous comic masterpiece. Truffaldino doesn’t really think through the problems inherent in having two bosses – especially when they’re unaware of each other’s presence and desperate to get back into each other’s pants. Our hero reckons he’s found a way of increasing his coin and food income on his labour. Or, as he puts it: “two masters, two wages, two dinners – too right!”
