Unrelenting in its pace, violence and supernatural themes, it is regarded by many critics as Shakespeare's darkest tragedy. Director Garreth Bradshaw (WAYTCO's Life of Galileo, Upstart Theatre Company's Taming of the Shrew) says "I have no interest in creating a mediocre Macbeth. I want my audience to walk away having been truly frightened, shocked and deeply moved by the text...".
