AUDITIONS

 'UNATTAINABLE'

written and directed by Jess Messenger

POCKET THEATRE JUNE 2009 SEASON

A sinister satire, with a glossy cover. 'Unattainable' takes a quirky look at what it means to be a woman in a world with so many impossible standards.

All ages are stage ages.

ZOE: Female 20-30 Described as short, pale and average looking. Zoe spends way too much time reading fashion magazines and it's starting to mess with her head. She spends most of the play in her underwear and is trying way to hard to be 'perfect.' Zoe is at boiling point, she can't keep up with herself.

ED: Male 20-35 Looks like an underwear model. Confident but critical. Think music tv show host.

VANESSA: Female 18-25 (Stage Age) Again, stepped off the cover of Cleo. Bubbly but bitchy. Once more she has the persona of an MTV host.

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD ON THE 28TH AND 29TH OF MARCH. THE PRODUCTION WILL BE PROFIT SHARE.

Please email a copy of your CV and headshot to jessica_messenger@hotmail.com to arrange an audition time.

Whilst I agree with using eyes and/or brain to read the info before posting comments, Peter you're a bit late to the game, because the email address was not included in the original post and was added later. Hence the questions from other visitors.

Pocket Theatre hire their venue. In the past they have used both the Swan Basement and Crackerjacks,(North Fremantle Bowling Club) which they convert to suit their purposes as a theatre. The following link is to a review for Pocket's 2008 offering, if you would like any further clarification.

A search of the "Venues" function at the top of the page gives us this.

Surprising, really.
