Due to a drop-out, Candlelight Productions is seeking to cast ASAP the role of Jack Worthing, in Oscar Wilde's classic comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. This is a delightful play with an excellent ensemble of actors and production team.
Jack Worthing is a twenty-nine year old bachelor leading a double-life as his own fictional brother Earnest. The actor must look the age and be able to speak in an RP accent. He must also be able to bond quickly with an already-existing team of actors and be willing to work hard to make up for missed rehearsals.
Rehearsals are currently being held on Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings in Camberwell. Performances will be in Hawthorn for a three week season, Wednesday - Saturday, 16th August - 1st September. Only actors who are available for all rehearsal times and performance dates should apply. This is an unpaid production.
Please e-mail expressions of interest (with resume and headshot, if possible) ASAP to director@candlelightproductions.com.au
