Saw this exceptional play by Arthur Miller at the Dolphin Theatre on opening night. I was particularly interested as I had been involved in a production at KADS some years ago. I was not disappointed. A great script can sometimes be let down by inadequate performance skills or lazy direction; however this was not the case in this instance. Great intensity, strong leading actors and some passion in direction kept me interested throughout. There were a few minor issues on opening night; nervousness, inexperience in some of the support roles and delivery which was a little to pacy at times. I really think the strength of this script will support well intentioned pauses to allow for some of the many emotional transitions contained within the play. Thanks to GRADS and well done cast and crew on a thoroughly engaging and entertaining night of theatre. If you haven't booked I suggest you get in now because I think once word gets out as to the quality of this production the few remaining nights will sell quickly.
