The Stage Left "Barracks" as it is affectionately known, is located in a former night club in the main street of Boulder.
In a former lifetime it served as a stripper club - and when the Troupe moved in, the mirrored walls and stripper pole were still there! These days it's quite a different sight that greets you when you visit 61b
The theatre is in use most week nights with rehearsals, workshops, club nights or performances. On Saturday mornings it is again a hive of activity with the youth workshops through SLAY - Stage Left Acting Youth.
Stage Left is a troupe so they do indeed "troupe about" and perform at various venues right throughout the Goldfields-Esperance region - and yes, even to Perth!
This active troupe has over 100 members, ranging in age from 11 to 70 - and they are all ACTIVE members, meaning, they are hands-on and involved - from erecting sets, sweeping floors, hanging curtains, loading sets onto the back of trucks right through to acting and directing. Stage Left has a "No Diva" policy!
